Abstract

Justice in India has long been a topic of debate, particularly concerning gender-based legal protections and biases. While several laws are designed to protect women from societal injustices, some have also been misused, leading to false accusations and legal harassment of men. At the same time, certain legal gaps leave men vulnerable in areas such as domestic abuse and property rights. This article explores the existing legal framework, highlighting both the protections and injustices faced by men and women. A special focus is given to property rights and inheritance laws, where unfair distribution practices can lead to emotional and financial distress. A real-life case study illustrates the challenges of unjust property allocation and the need for reforms to ensure fair legal treatment for all. The article calls for a balanced and gender-neutral approach to law that upholds justice for every individual, regardless of gender.
