Abstract

Modern and advanced communication technologies are among the most important factors that have influenced the field of media research, as they have led to fundamental changes in methods of investigation and analysis. This study aims to explore the impact of technical developments on the quality of media research, and the extent of its compatibility with current media theories. By applying a field study to a sample of experts and professors of communication and media, and collecting their opinions and attitudes about how the research and analysis process changes as a result of benefiting from modern technologies.

The results of the study show a positive impact on the quality of media research by facilitating researchers’ access to information, improving the accuracy of analysis, and enabling researchers to produce innovative media content. The study also reflects the impact of modern technologies on the variables of media theories, and shows new directions for research that are consistent with technical developments. In the end, the field study emphasizes the importance of developing media theories that are effectively compatible with modern technologies to achieve sustainable development in the field of media research.
